Mr. Meredith was a Master Mariner and had spent 18 years at sea, and for a period was based in the Port of London, before he joined Hutchison Whampoa Limited's predecessor, the Hong Kong & Whampoa Dock Company Group in 1972, as Chief Executive of its fledgling container operations unit.

Mr. Meredith is currently the Group Managing Director of Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH), which holds and manages the Hutchison Whampoa Group's port and related interests. With over 30,000 employees worldwide, HPH operates in 51 ports in 25 countries. Mr. Meredith is also the Deputy Chairman & Chief Executive of Hongkong International Terminals and holds senior management positions in several companies within HPH's worldwide operations.

In recognition of his achievements in the maritime industry, Mr. Meredith was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by The University of Western Ontario in March 2008.

Mr. Tsien is Group Executive Director of HPH with Group level management responsibilities, and concurrently the Group's Chief Financial Officer. He is also the head of HPH's businesses in China. Mr. Tsien joined the Group in March 1994 as General Manager - Finance, Hongkong International Terminals (HIT). He was a career banker, and had held senior management positions at Citibank, N.A. in New York, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

He was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong. Mr. Tsien graduated in business management from Hong Kong Baptist College and completed post-graduate studies in international management at Columbia University, New York. He is a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, England and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, England

Mr. Jack is Executive Director of HPH and is also Head of the Technical Services Department, responsible for all engineering-related matters throughout the HPH Group.

Originally from New Zealand, Mr. Jack holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, and is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers in the United Kingdom, the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand, and the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers. Following graduation, Mr. Jack worked with consulting engineers in the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong before joining the Hutchison Whampoa Group in 1986. Mr. Jack was closely involved in the construction of Container Terminals, 6, 7 and 8 in Hong Kong and joined the HPH Group in 1990.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the United Kingdom, Eric Ip began his career in the maritime industry in 1980, holding management positions with various shipping agencies. In 1993, Mr. Ip joined Hongkong International Terminals (HIT) as General Manager of Commercial and was promoted to Managing Director of HIT in 1998.

In July 2005, Mr. Ip was appointed Executive Director of HPH, taking on the capacity as Head of Commercial for the Group, in addition to his existing responsibilities as Managing Director of Hutchison South China Ports, a division of the HPH Group, overseeing the Group's operations in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.
