Dock School Programme

HPH has long regarded education as the basis for sustainable development. Our Dock School Programme is at the forefront of our efforts to ensure children in the communities where we do business have the skills they need to realise their full potential, better their employment prospects and succeed in the 21st Century.

Under the Dock School Programme, HPH member ports across the globe are encouraged to "adopt" local schools in need of financial and educational assistance. Our ports choose many ways to help their Dock Schools. Past contributions have funded construction projects, scholarships, school supplies and books, computer purchases and educational activities. We continually encourage our business units to come up with creative ways to take part in the programme.

Since the Dock School Programme was first implemented at Hongkong International Terminals (HIT) in 1992, it has grown considerably in importance. Today, the HPH Group supports more than 20 Dock Schools around the globe.
