Nanhai International Container Terminals (NICT) commenced operations in 1994. It is located in the Sanshan Port Economic Development Zone, which is in the Nanhai Area of Foshan City, Guangdong Province. The terminal lies on the north bank of the Pearl River, 84 nautical miles from Hong Kong.
Nanhai's central location enables it to act as a key warehousing and distribution centre for the province, offering excellent road connections to Guangzhou and other nearby industrial cities.
NICT offers a 5,000-square-metre off-dock refrigerated warehouse. Other advantages include import bonded and export surveillance warehouse facilities, local vessel and cargo agencies, as well as container repairs. On-site customs, joint inspection services, and X-ray container inspection services are also provided within the terminal. NICT provides feeder services to Hong Kong and its feeder network extends to Shenzhen and Nansha.
NICT's Phase II development will increase container yard and warehouse capacity to 400,000 square metres, greatly enhancing storage services offered to customers. |
