Hutchison Port Holdings, through its wholly owned subsidiary Sydney International Container Terminals (SICTL), is developing a new container terminal at Sydney’s Port Botany, New South Wales. Port Botany is the State’s premier port and one of Australia’s major international container ports. SICTL is located at terminal 3 and came into operation at the end of 2013. The terminal operates four shipping berths with a 1,300-metre-long quay and a 45 hectare yard. Highly automated with efficient road transfer facilities, the terminal will be connected by rail shuttle to a new inland logistics centre west of Port Botany being developed by Hutchison Logistics Australia.
