It was founded in 2002 as the supply chain solutions and logistics services division of Hutchison Port Holdings (“HPH”). Headquartered in Hong Kong, with agency network in Europe and Asia, Hutchison Logistics (HK) offers extensive experience in Asian and Western cultures, manufacturing sectors, and consumer markets. This, combined with the company's access to HPH's worldwide port network, allows Hutchison Logistics (HK) to offer its customers a unique set of operational capabilities.
The company is able to link its customised supply chain solutions to a multi-modal network that encompasses road, rail, sea and air transportation for both inbound and outbound trade. As a result, can offer customers cost savings, total visibility, and an accelerated transit-to-market.
In 2007, a decision was reached to pool Hutchison Logistics (HK) with Asia Port Services and Shenzhen Hutchison Inland Container Depots to form a comprehensive logistics service provider called Port Services & Logistics (PS&L). PS&L aims to become a leading player in the logistics industry by harnessing the power of HPH’s port network. |
