Shanghai Pudong International Container Terminals (SPICT) is located at the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port Zone, which occupies the busiest section of the city's Yangtze riverbank. It is well-connected to East China and the entire Yangtze River Delta through extensive highways and waterways. Furthermore, it is the only terminal in Shanghai located within China's largest multifunctional free-trade zone.
SPICT was established in 2003 as a joint venture of HPH, Shanghai International Port Group, and COSCO Pacific. The terminal offers the capacity to handle the latest generation of container vessels, and includes a container freight station, reefer facilities and areas for handling dangerous goods. |
